ABOUT Dr. Lauren Glick Baker
I am a New York State licensed psychologist with specialized training in couples therapy and geropsychology, however my practice serves adults of all ages with a particular focus on individuals in early adulthood. Although my main areas of clinical expertise include anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and issues related to substance use, I have extensive experience working with individuals who present with a wide range of concerns. I am particularly interested in working with individuals as they navigate life’s many transitions--into and out of jobs, relationships, and family structures--and as they manage issues of identity.
I completed my doctorate in clinical psychology at Yeshiva University’s Ferkuaf Graduate School of Psychology, and I hold a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from Columbia College. Prior to opening my private practice in New York City, I completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy at the William Alanson White Institute. Some of my prior experience includes positions at Jacobi Medical Center, CUNY Baruch College’s Counseling Center, Long Island Jewish Medical Center, and Bronx Psychiatric Center.
